We spotted Lady Gaga with her stunning rose gold smoky eye while Kerry Washington’s killer cat eye was on fleek! Actresses like Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara with their inspired crimson lips and feline eyes set fireworks on the red carpet. With such jaw dropping appearances on the beauty scrape and fashion police on patrol, it is a challenging task to point out only three iconic eye makeup moments but here is our best shot!
Lady Gaga looked absolutely angelic in her soft blonde curls and her white crystal earrings. Known for her weird fashion picks and “meaty-wardrobe-moments”, this year she grabbed the bull by the horns and stunned everyone with a pretty rose gold smoky eye that complimented her white jumpsuit. A shimmery rose gold eye and spring is a hit this year!
Makeup Artist Sarah Tanna created a glamorous lookbut here is our take on how to recreate this look in an affordable way by using eyeliner stencils.
Add a layer of shadow lock eyelid primer all over the eyes and below the lash line for a creaseless shadow application and longevity. Using the rose gold palette sweep a matte brown shade as a transition color in the crease. Now add a layer of metallic bronze in the crease to create a depth to the eyes. Grab a clean small rounded eye shadow brush and dab a layer of rose gold in the center of the lids. Using a clean blending brush, blend all the shades together for a flawless and gradient like eye look.
Now using theeyelinerin Coffee Brown tight line the upper waterline, this will add volume to the lashes before the application of mascara. Sweep a layer of ELF Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls in the browbones for an illuminating glow and Dramatic Fake Lashes for that fluttery-lash-effect! Add a generous coat of Eye Enhancing Mascara to sync the natural lashes with the fake ones and for adding boost and volume for an all-eyes-on-me effect!
Kerry Washington looked like a glamorous diva with her dramatic black feline flick and voluminous lashes. Her stunning eye makeup brought out her brown eyes while the elegant nude lip gets a five star from the fashion critics. You can recreate her look by using Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer all over the lids followed by the application of Baked Highlighter in Moonstone Pearls on the browbone. Using the Clay EyeShadow palette, layer the beige color all over the lids, this will act as an eye shadow base and counteract any redness or brownish tone on the eyelids. Apply a light brown color on the crease, this will act as a transition color and now add a layer of deeper brown in a C shape in the crease and extend it outwards to give an impression of a bigger eye.
Layer the upper and lower waterline with Eye Pencil in Black for an intense black look. Add a bronze shade on top of the lids that will give off a shimmery and wide awake look. Now using Liquid Liner in Jet Black, layer the upper and lower lash line and add a wing pointing towards the end of the eyebrow. For a Feline cat flick, extend the liner from the inner corner of the eye slightly downwards towards the bridge of the nose and then rejoin the lower lash line. Add 2-3 coats of mascara for lengthened lashes and a false lash effect.
Another iconic beauty spotted on the red carpet was Charlize Theron, with her green sparkly lids and classic red attire, we believe all the women around her would be eyeing her with jealousy. You can recreate the look by adding a layer of brown kohl on the upper lash line and blending the color all over the lids. Now add a sparkly green shade on the lids and intensify the look by blending a matte black eyeshadow in the crease to add in smokiness. Layer the lashes with 3 in 1 Mascara and you are ready to go!
